GTG Fire in the hand

The size of each rod is approximatively 18 millimeters diameter for 10 centimeters long. 

The " Fire in the hand" rods need to be preheated in a kiln or above the flame carefully before use them. 
 

The  " Fire in the hand" is perfectly compatible with all the borosilicate creations that you will realize. Just be careful to preheat carefully your rods and maintain your piece enough hot during your work.
 

Work it with an oxidizing flame in order to keep the yellow color intense, avoid neutral and reducing flames.
Don't work it too long too or teh yellow will turns red. 
 

Maintain the proper heat base while working, and when finished, put it into the kiln at the proper annealing temperature (1080°F) . 
Don't anneal it too long or it will turns red, program a fast cycle.
 

Wait until your kiln has dropped to a temperature of 302°F before opening the door, and you can remove your piece when it has reached room temperature. 
 
Copper vapors are very toxic, a good ventilation is recommended .
